Advanced Tank Level Sensors and Monitors
Founded in 2006, SCAD manufactures advanced tank level sensors and monitors for boats, recreational vehicles and specialty trailers. SCAD’s electronic sensors have no moving parts and cannot foul because they sense from the outside of the tank and are easy to install.
SCAD has become the top selling brand for aftermarket sales in the U.S. boating market.
Unlike other tank level sensors, SCAD’s unique technology reliably and accurately senses the full height of the tank from the exterior side eliminating fouling.
SCAD introduced it’s products to the European market at the METS TRADE in Amsterdam in November 2024.
Sensors
SCAD manufacturers two types of sensors for water and wastewater:
External Sensors
- For plastic and fiberglass tanks
- Senses from the outside of the tank and cannot foul
- Senses the full range of the tank
- Tanks heights from 150 to 800 mm tall
- Works with SCAD monitors *
Internal Sensors
- For metal tanks
- No moving parts and cannot foul
- Senses the entire length from 150 to 610 mm
- Works with SCAD monitor *

In early 2025, SCAD will produce new sensors with the following advantages:
- Standard 0-5 VDC output for easy integration with many digital monitoring systems other than SCAD’s
- Automatically calibrates itself
- Accurate within 2%.
- Can be customized for OEMs that repeatedly install on the same tank size
- CE and FCC certified
Monitors
SCAD manufacturers three tank level monitors.
TM1 – Monitor One Tank
TM2 – Monitor Two Tanks
Both models TM1 and TM2 have the following features:
- Automatic empty or full warning lights
- Can control one remote device during warning condition.
- Can monitor float sensors
- 12/24 VDC power
- Customizable for OEMs
- Touch control
- Compact 55 x 55 mm size
- No large cutout needed for panel mount. Requires 12 mm hole.
S2R Converter
SCAD’s S2R converts up to four SCAD sensors to variable resistance output (like float sensors) for integration into other digital monitoring systems such as the Victron Cerbo GX.
** The S2R will likely be displaced by SCAD’s new external sensor that has a standard 0-5 VDC output.
